Availability of coal fired power units during their further operation
Coal fired power units will accompany the transformation of the Polish energy sector at least until the stabilization of the energy system is taken over by lower emission controllable energy sources and its large-scale storage. Before this happens, the increase in generation from weather-dependent RES sources will shorten their operating time, increase the number and duration of unplanned outages and increase the number of starts. While the economic effect of their operation may be decreasing, availability will remain their most desirable feature.

Modeling technological processes as a source of diagnostic knowledge
Variable operating conditions of structural elements and joints in power equipment lead to changes in the stress state, which may result in fatigue damage and loss of durability. These changes are typically caused by unsteady flows of working media such as steam, water, or exhaust gases. Their analysis involves CFD modelling, with the results used as input data for stress calculations using the FEM method. The accuracy of reproducing the technological process is crucial for a reliable durability assessment. Computational results can be experimentally verified and used to evaluate the technical condition and predict potential damage.

Diagnostics of the boiler drums itsn’t only the tests
Diagnostics is not only about tests accompanying the boiler repair. It provides the most benefits for the user when it takes the form of a process related to the operation process. The scope of tests and assessment of the technical condition should be determined on the basis of retrospection, which should include an analysis of the history and operating conditions of the drum. The assessment of the technical condition can be updated during the operation of the drum using the Walczak PRO® methodology, and the durability forecast can be verified on an ongoing basis using the Prognoza PRO® program.

Project LIROV. Machine preparation for the evaluation of its technical condition and acceptability criteria for the limits of line wire exploitation. Part 3: implementation
A research project is successful when it is implemented. Implementation of research results and implementation of a prototype is always associated with risk. This part of the publication focuses on the analysis of the risk associated with the implementation of a new solution for use. Implementation of the project results will consist in starting the production of a device for performing inspections of all elements of the rope-conductor with automatic assessment of the technical condition based on the implemented criteria, but this implementation is burdened with risk.

Terminal with airport
The article describes the project of the basic component of the construction of the Central Communication Port, i.e. the terminal with the airport. It provides for a relatively cheap and modern construction, taking into account the symbolism of Solidarity and the characteristics of the climate in Poland, while maintaining world standards and architecture at the highest level. The project is currently the only comprehensive development of the CPK consistent with Polish and international standards. The designed airport is one of the best and largest in the world.

Railway station
The article describes the project of another component of the construction of the Central Communication Port, i.e. the PKP railway station. This facility, meeting Polish and international standards, was developed in accordance with the highest world standards. The project in question is currently the only comprehensive development of the CPK compliant with Polish and international standards. The designed airport is one of the best and largest in the world.
