Centralized measurements of electric energy parameters in LV and MV substations
Centralized measurements of electric energy parameters in LV and MV substations of distribution networks is an alternative, and sometimes a necessary complement, to measurements performed by energy meters. The appropriate equipment is more and more commonly installed in the European distribution companies. An increasing interest, also in our country, in such solutions is driven by the need to monitor phenomena connected with growing implementation of PV installations and wind farms to LV and MV networks that substantially changes functioning of the whole energy system.

SMR reactors in the Polish energy system – economic, legal and organisational perspectives
The aim of the publication was to present small modular reactors (SMRs) as a potential component of the national energy mix and to analyse the possibilities of their implementation in Poland. The basic SMR models, their classification and state of development worldwide were discussed, as well as the place of this technology in the energy policies of the European Union and Poland. An assessment of the economic viability of SMRs was carried out, taking into account, among other things, investment costs, unit energy production costs and the possibilities of application in various energy sectors, primarily in district heating. The existing legal regulations concerning nuclear investments in Poland were also analysed and the possibility of adapting them to the specific characteristics of modular reactors was indicated. This publication is an attempt to provide a comprehensive overview of the conditions for the development of SMR technology in the context of the energy transition and the country’s energy security.
Sławomir Cieślik
Numerical one-step method of electrical circuits analysis
Presented is a practical method to use mathematics and physics in the foe;d of electricity as well as to use electrical circuits theory for effective mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of electrical circuits operational statuses. Making use of electrical circuits substitute diagrams for physical quantities (with an application of Taylor’s formula) and their derivatives at strictly defined moments including commutation laws allows to efficiently analyse electrical circuits themselves. Efficiency of the proposed method is shown on a very simple but convincing example.

The rise, development and twilight of German nuclear power. Part 1
This article surveys the history of German nuclear power, beginning with the times of the Third Reich, through the post-war period in West Germany and German Democratic Republic, and continuing to the present day in reunited Germany: from the initial trials and research in the late 1930s and during World War II, through the period of vigorous and enthusiastic development from the 1950s to the 1980s, and ending with the closure and decommissioning of all German nuclear power plants in present time. The author tries to find the answer to the question: why in a country with such great contributions to world science and technology, society and the political class have completely rejected nuclear energy? Below is the first part of the article. The second part will be published in the issue of „Energetyka” 10/2025.

Components of the Central Communication Port (CPK). Olympic City facilities
This article describes the project for the next component of the Central Transport Hub, Olympic City. This project encompasses all sports arenas and other facilities needed to host the Olympic Games. Currently, several Olympic City facilities, such as the IOC hotels, the church, and the TV tower, could be used for the CPK. The main assumptions are presented below.
